The scrolls illustrate that he served as the Chief Negotiator for Canada for Indigenous land-claim treaties. The blue evokes the idea of “from sea to sea to sea,” based on Canada’s motto, the Latin phrase A mari usque ad mare , and it alludes to the vast area which benefitted from His Honour’s work. |
