Symbolism

The court tabs symbolize that the members of the organization are lawyers. The crosses represent the Christian faith, and their pointed bases evoke the ability of each member to stand one’s ground in court. The pattern of crosses expresses the fellowship of the members.

Symbolism

The throne represents the throne of God, as stated in Psalm 89:14: “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne.” The red of the cushion symbolizes spiritual awakening by the Holy Spirit and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Symbolism

These Latin words, meaning “Justly, mercifully, humbly,” are exhortations to guide members in their actions, based on Micah 6:8: “Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly.”

Symbolism

The eagles represent strength as found in Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles,” and also the protection mentioned in Psalm 91:4, “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge.” The green linden leaves, symbols of justice, allude to the sound judgement expected of lawyers.

A torteau charged with a balance its finial a Latin cross Argent, all within a belt Gules edged, buckled and inscribed with the Motto, its tip Argent adorned with a maple leaf Gules;

Symbolism

The cross and balance symbolize a foundation of faith and the occupation of law. The belt represents the belt of truth in Ephesians 6:14, “Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth,” and the centrality of truth to justice.
