Argent a caribou’s head caboshed, the antlers enclosing three fleurs-de-lis Gules;

Symbolism

The fleurs-de-lis design is based on the arms adopted by the Marion family. The caribou is an animal of importance in the Northwest Territories.

Four Tlicho tipis Gules the poles Argent in front of a demi-caribou proper holding a sun in splendour Or;

Symbolism

The tipis are borrowed from the flag of the Tlicho Nation. The caribou is an important animal in the Northwest Territories. The gold sun alludes to the idea of “the land of the midnight sun.”
