OTTAWA—The Governor General of Canada wishes to share a message addressed to all Canadians from Her Majesty The Queen on the tragic shooting in Nova Scotia:

OTTAWA— Dear citizens of Nova Scotia, there are no words that can describe the horror and sadness we all felt, across the country, as we heard the news of the terrible violence that claimed so many lives in your province.

OTTAWA—The Governor General of Canada wishes to share a message addressed to all Canadians from His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales on the tragic shooting in Nova Scotia:

OTTAWA—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, will participate in Nova Scotia Remembers, a virtual vigil for the victims of the Nova Scotia shooting, on Friday, April 24, 2020, at 7 p.m. AST.

OTTAWA—Last weekend, Nova Scotia woke up to horrific news. We know now the extent of the carnage, the magnitude of the loss. A monstrous act that took away family members, friends and neighbours, co-workers, Nova Scotians, good people.

OTTAWA— Every day, our men and women in uniform serve the country here and abroad.

OTTAWA—There are no words that can express the sorrow and pain of losing a loved one. Today, we grieve the loss of six members from the Canadian Armed Forces. They perished in the crash of their CH-148 Cyclone Helicopter Wednesday afternoon during a training exercise off the shores of Greece.
