Celebrating Canada’s Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic athletes at Rideau Hall

OTTAWA, Ontario—Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will welcome Canadian athletes to Rideau Hall on May 27, in recognition of their outstanding achievements at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

On that occasion, athletes will take part in an engaging activity with students on the grounds of Rideau Hall. Media are invited to capture those interactions. Governor General Simon will also stop by to greet the students.

Notes to media:

  • Media are asked to confirm their attendance with the Rideau Hall Press Office via media@gg.ca and arrive near the Rideau Hall Fountain no later than 9:30 a.m.
  • Interviews with Olympic and Paralympic athletes, as well as members of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) and Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC), can be arranged upon request.
