Message from the Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada on the death of Warrant Officer George Hohl

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Warrant Officer George Hohl in Latvia. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all the members of the Canadian Armed Forces who are grieving this loss.

As commander-in-chief, I have seen first-hand the loyalty, integrity, courage, excellence, and dedication with which the members of the Canadian Armed Forces do their job. My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of Warrant Officer Hohl. He will also be truly missed by those who served alongside him.

Through this difficult time, I know that the members of the CAF will support and lean on each other for solace.
