Mental Health Week 2014- Operation Come Home
As part of Mental Health Week (May 5 to 11, 2014), Her Excellency Sharon Johnston visited Operation Come Home, in Ottawa. She was greeted by Ms. Natalie Elliott, Director of Programs, Ms. Reba Simard, a youth who benefits from the programs offered at the centre, and by Ms. Elspeth Mackay, Executive Director.

Her Excellency was given a tour of the facility and has the chance to meet with some of the youths who uses the services offered at the centre. Kadar is one of them.

Mrs. Johnston was happy to plant a few seeds with youths enrolled in FarmWorks.

Following the tour, Her Excellency took part in programs offered at Operation Come Home, including FarmWorks, a farming employment program. She spoke with Nicholas McLaughlin and Sarah Leyton Glimcher, the youth coordinators of the program.
