Unveiling of Turnbull School's Coat of Arms
The Governor General, accompagnied by Mrs. Turnbull, participated in the unveiling of the coat of arms.

On April 9, 2013, Their Excellencies visited Turnbull School in Ottawa to participate in the unveiling of its new coat of arms. Mrs. Mary Ann Turnbull, Founder of the School, took this opportunity to show some of the coat of arms created by the students in preparation for this event.

"The coat of arms we unveil today honours this school and the principles on which it was founded, but most of all, it is a testament to the students who have benefited from a quality education from this fine institution for more than 20 years," said His Excellency.

At the end of the ceremony, a group of primary students performed a song, accompanied on the guitar by Turnbull School teacher Mr. Chris Pierce.
