Their Excellencies attended the official opening a 150 000-square-foot medical research space at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This is be the largest and only centre of its kind in Canada. Dr. Barry McLellan, President and CEO of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, offered opening remarks.

Following the inauguratin, Their Excellencies visited several labs. The Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is an internationally recognized leader in research and education and one of Canada’s premier academic health sciences centres.
