The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Trail
Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston participated in the renaming of a section of the Trans Canada Trail designated The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Trail.

It promotes and assists in the development and use of the Trail in every province and territory, and provides funding to local trail builders to support the development of trails.

The Diamond Jubilee is cause for celebration, as is the ongoing development of the Trans Canada Trail. In fact, the location of this new commemorative plaque could not have been better chosen.”
