Volunteer Toronto Event
His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, was the keynote speaker at Volunteer Toronto’s event highlighting the importance of volunteering. To mark International Volunteer Day, he spoke on the importance of community building through volunteering, in an effort to build a smarter and more caring nation. The event was held at TIFF Bell Lightbox on December 5, 2011.
