It is a renowned farm management teaching facility that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit among its students. In addition to general training and specialized courses, the farm provides an overview of the agri-environment sector as well as courses in livestock and building management, and agricultural technology.

The Institut de technologie agroalimentaire comprises a network of three specialized training centres in La Pocatière, Saint-Hyacinthe and McGill University’s Macdonald College. The institute provides specialized training in farming, animal production, environment, food quality and processing, and equine technology.

Their Excellencies proceeded to the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire. A teacher from the institute explained a new project : the installation of wired fiber optics allowing students in the classrooms to watch live the activities happening on the farm.
