Tree Planting Ceremony - Royal Tour 2010

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has planted five trees at Rideau Hall. This red oak tree is the fourth tree that she planted as Queen. The others were planted in 1951 (sugar maple)- she was then Princess Elizabeth- ,in 1957 (red maple), in 1977 (red oak) and in 2002 (bur oak).

Upon her arrival at Rideau Hall, Her Majesty The Queen was greeted by the Secretary to the Governor General, Ms. Sheila-Marie Cook. About one hundred guests attended the event.
