Meeting with the Mayor of Ottawa
Upon entering the Heritage Building, His Excellency and His Worship viewed an exhibit of artifacts from the City of Ottawa’s Archives depicting visits by former governors general and by members of the Royal Family.

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, met with Ottawa’s new mayor, His Worship Jim Watson, at City Hall on December 20, 2010.

To mark his first official visit to City Hall, the Governor General signed the guest book. His Excellency and His Worship then met in the Mayor’s office, followed by a meet and greet with members of City Council.
