Launch of the Governor General’s State visits to Ukraine and the Kingdom of Norway at Rideau Hall
On the occasion of the State visits to Ukraine and the Kingdom of Norway, Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and Jean-Daniel Lafond hosted a cultural evening at Rideau Hall on April 15, 2009. The Governor General welcomed the Amabassador of the Kingdom of Norway His Excellency Tor Bernrin Naess.

The Governor General delivered a speech on the importance of Canada's relationship with Ukraine and Norway. The State visit to Ukraine will take place from April 23 to 26, 2009. The State visit to the Kingdom of Norway will take place from April 28 to April 30, 2009.
