Presentation of the 400th Medallion to Their Excellencies
The President of the Société du 400e Jean Leclerc met Their Excellencies the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, and her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond to honour their contribution and participation to the 400th celebrations. The ceremony took place on the terrace of the Residence of the Governor General at the Citadelle of Québec on October 20, 2008.

Their Excellencies received the 400th Medallion from the President of the Société du 400e for their hardwork and dedication to the celebrations planned for the 400th anniversary of the founding of the City of Québec.

After the ceremony, His Excellency Jean-Daniel Lafond invited guests to visit the Cap-aux-Diamants Redoubt located at the Citadelle of Québec, where the Grand Livre de Champlain, an official activity of the 400th, is on display.
