Michener Awards Ceremony

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, presented the 2008 Michener-Deacon Fellowship to Denise Davy, of The Hamilton Spectator.

The winners of the Michener Award 2007: The Globe and Mail (Edward Greenspon, Editor-in-Chief of The Globe and Mail) and La Presse (Philippe Cantin, Editor of La Presse).

Ms. Michèle Ouimet, representing La Presse which, together with the Globe and Mail, won the Michener Award 2007, thanks the jury and tells the audience of her experience while writing the stories that warranted the award to both newspapers.
