Launch of the Canadian Cancer Society’s Daffodil Month

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General of Canada, received a bouquet of daffodils from Kristina Kager, 5 and Jacob Brown, 7, to mark the beginning of the Canadian Cancer Society’s annual Daffodil Month, in the greenhouse of Rideau Hall, on March 27, 2008. Both children have cancer and take part in the campaign raising funds for cancer research. Representing hope, the daffodil has been part of the Society’s annual fundraising campaign for 50 years.
