2008 Governor General's Literary Awards Ceremony
Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle, Governor General of Canada, honoured laureates of the 2008 Literary Awards in the English and French categories of fiction, non fiction, poetry, drama, children’s literature (text and illustration) and translation. The ceremony was held at Rideau Hall on December 10, 2008.

Vice-President of the Canada Council for the Arts Mr. Simon Brault delivered a speech during the ceremony. Behind him is the Chair of the Canada Council for the Arts Mr. Joseph Rotman who also said a few words.
