Annual Inspection of the Guard

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, inspected the Ceremonial Guard on June 28, 2006 on the grounds of Parliament Hill in Ottawa. As well as being Commander-in-Chief of the Canadian Forces, Her Excellency is Colonel of both regiments that form the Ceremonial Guard (the Governor General's Foot Guards from Ottawa and the Canadian Grenadier Guards from Montreal). Following the inspection, the Governor General addressed its members.
