Governor Simcoe Secondary School student Sama Nanayakkara serves as an inspiration to the junior members of the Social Justice Club, her peers, as well as to the entire school community. She also organized a schoolboard-wide fundraising event to support Syrian refugees arriving to the Niagara region, ultimately collecting triple the amount of the fundraising goal.
