Honour Sauvé, Lethbridge, Alta.
Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Honour Sauvé has been an active community volunteer for many years, beginning with the Shriners Hospital and the Junior League in Montréal. She became involved with the Richmond Hill Family Services Board, helping families in need resolve their financial difficulties. In Lethbridge since 1977, Mrs. Sauvé served as a school trustee, has become a Habitat for Humanity builder, is active in her church, volunteers at a local soup kitchen, and canvasses for various charities.
