Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Paul Binning has long been committed to the community as a volunteer, organizing youth initiatives and promoting multiculturalism and the arts. He is a key member of the organizing committee of Multifest, an annual multicultural visual and performing arts festival. Twenty years ago, he founded the Punjabi Artists Association of Richmond, a youth dance troupe which continues to bring Punjabi Bhangra folk dance to many venues. In addition, Mr. Binning has raised funds for many other charitable organizations.
