For the past nine years, Darlene Jay has volunteered with the Heart and Stroke Foundation as a spokesperson for her community. A passionate advocate of heart health, she has participated in several local campaigns to encourage coordinated stroke care for Islanders, and has sold toques in support of the national Heart Month fundraiser.
