As a respected leader of the Dehcho Region, Steven José has been a steadfast promoter of First Nations culture for more than 40 years. In addition to hosting summer camps, he works with youth to preserve traditional knowledge and practices, such as hunting moose for community feasts and overseeing sacred burial rituals.
