Jacob Hamer played an important role in the renovation of the local Royal Canadian Legion hall in Gravenhurst, and served on several of the branch’s executive committees. Since moving to Chilliwack, he continues to be involved in Legion activities and also gives much of his time to helping ill or house-bound seniors.
