Duncan MacKenzie has been an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 20 years. As a member of the colour party and as a service officer at his local branch, he takes part in the annual Remembrance Day services and the Field of Crosses sunrise services. He has also volunteered as a hockey coach and referee.
