Fifty-seven years ago, Marnie Armstrong began volunteering in the maternity ward at The Ottawa Hospital's Civic Campus and has since donated her time to the hospital's Heart Institute. Her comfort, aid and direction have facilitated a healing environment and a welcoming atmosphere for thousands of patients.
