Tom Norton has been involved with Special Olympics British Columbia for more than 25 years, first as a member of the Law Enforcement Torch Run and then, over the past 10 years, as an athletics coach at the local, provincial and national levels. Using an athlete-focused coaching style he has brought out the best in those he mentors, and positively impacted not only the participants, but also their families, other coaches, and the community in general.
