The demanding nature of David Thomas' career as a Crown attorney would seem to leave little time for personal activities, let alone community service. Yet he has contributed to the city of Timmins for over 25 years through his involvement with the Native Friendship Centre, the Canadian Mental Health Association, the Timmins Symphony Orchestra, the Timmins Counselling Centre and the local hospital, in addition to fundraising for the viability of the community ski hill.
