Since retiring, Raymond Gionet has devoted himself to volunteerism. He gives of his time and energy to several community organizations, including the Festival acadien de Caraquet, the Lamèque International Baroque Music Festival, and the Fondation Hôpital de l'Enfant-Jésus de Caraquet.
