Daniel Edward (Ted) Hobson
Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia
Ted Hobson was instrumental in forming the Seniors Helping Seniors program, where older residents offer assistance to their peers so that they may continue living independently in their own homes. He is also involved in the Mahone Bay Centre, where he helps plan education programs that increase the self-esteem of teenage girls. He has also mobilized provincial and national support to provide lifelong learning and active living support for seniors by creating the Mahone Bay Seniors Project.
