Mother of 12, Isola Boucher has devoted her life to her family and the community. Founder and administrator of the Filles d'Isabelle since 1968, she also co-founded the Club de l'Âge d'Or in 1972 and the Association des bénévoles du Centre de santé de la Haute Côte Nord in 1979. Be it as treasurer or president, she helped these groups grow and operate effectively. Generous and innovative, she has put her talents to use in numerous organizations, including the Red Cross, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Cancer Society and the Conseil de la pastorale. Her kindness and diplomacy have made Mrs. Boucher a much-loved member of the Escoumins community.
