Since the age of 13, Deepak Prasad has been involved with St. John Ambulance. He has developed his school's first aid program by setting up protocols and leading weekly first aid meetings. Over the last three years, he has responded to more than 900 first aid calls at his school. Prior to the school's graduation party, in order to raise awareness, Mr. Prasad organized a mock drunk driving accident. To this end, he held meetings with the local fire department, RCMP, ambulance service, school district administration and local companies, enabling him to raise funds, obtain equipment and organize traffic for the mock drunk driving accident exercise. His compassion and caring is considered unique among young people in his community.
