Aided by her daughter Margaret, Mary Poku has provided care and shelter to a handful of adults with intellectual disabilities for more than fifteen years. Mrs. Poku operates the group home in a family-like environment -- the residents are like brothers and sisters to Margaret, and Mary acts as a mother, caring for their every need, including them on family outings and trips at her own expense.
