Governor General's Caring Canadian Award Cécile Roussel-Charron and Gilles Raoul Charron have worked as volunteers for the Festival franco-ontarien and the Canadian Tulip Festival for 20 years. In 1994 they were involved in the establishment of the Club de marche d'Orléans, to which they have since devoted innumerable hours. They are active participants in their parish and in the activities of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul. Whether at the Patro for the Salon de la Belle Retraite, the Saint-Louis residence to play bingo with the elderly, the National Arts Centre to help out during concerts for seniors, or rehearsals of the Chorale Jeunes de Coeur du MIFO (Mouvement d'implication francophone d'Orléans) to serve coffee and snacks, the Charrons are proud to offer their time.
