Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Arthur Haley has enriched the lives of students in Wiarton Public School by tutoring pupils, giving presentations on various subjects, helping with school activities and serving on the school and community councils. When not volunteering at the school, he serves in a variety of positions with the Wiarton Friends of the Library and writes reports on library activities for the town's weekly newspaper. In addition, he is active in the Royal Canadian Legion, the Masons and the Oliphant Young at Heart Seniors' group.
