Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Mary Campbell has worked tirelessly for the Douglas Hospital in Verdun. In January 1984, she joined the Auxiliary of the Hospital, becoming its President in 1991, a position she still holds. She has been a member of the Douglas Hospital Foundation and of the Hospital Board of Directors since 1996. In addition, Mrs. Campbell is a member of the Board of the Association of Healthcare Auxiliaries of the Province of Quebec. Although her prime commitment is to the Hospital, she is also involved in her church as a member of the altar guild.
