Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Denis Panneton has been an extremely active volunteer for more than 30 years. He is committed to the young cadets of the Navy League of Canada and has worked to promote research into children's diseases through the Telethon of Stars. He has been a member of the Lions Club since 1969 and was elected Governor for all of the Greater Montréal Lions Clubs. He is still responsible for co-ordinating the operations of the mobile clinic offering ophthalmology examinations in the province's remote areas.
