Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Myrtle Barnett has been volunteering since her youth. She has been involved in church activities, the Selkirk Nursing Division of the Saint John Ambulance Society and the Selkirk Business and Professional Women's Club. She voluntarily taught English as a second language and, until recently, tutored children and adults in her home. Mrs. Barnett is a director of a personal care home and has delivered Meals on Wheels since the program began.
