Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Raine Gibb is a devoted and determined woman who dedicated years to the daily care and eventual recovery of a man who was critically ill. She has volunteered for years with the Friends of the University of Alberta Hospital, the Veterans' Home of the Colonel Mewburn Hospital and the Aberhart Hospital. Ms. Gibb has also been a foster parent and a volunteer with the Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch Program and the Cross Cancer Institute.
