Yvonne LeBlanc's extensive voluntarism has made her an indispensable asset to her community. The driving force behind Grande-Digue's cultural committee, she organized numerous activities over the last decade, including the city's bicentennial celebrations in 1988, the Gala de la chanson française for three years running, and other yearly festivals and events promoting Acadian culture. Involved with community groups and organizations such as the Institut féminin francophone de Grande-Digue, the parish newsletter Le P'tit Soleil and the local library, Mrs. LeBlanc has worked tirelessly to enhance her community.
