Ron Pond is a role model for the importance of community voluntarism. During the past twenty-five years, he has worked tirelessly for youth development programs, service clubs, seniors' social activities, and associations such as the Lions Club and the Yukon Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association. Mr. Pond also served as a volunteer for a junior skiing program and was instrumental in the establisment of two major drug awareness programs in the Yukon.
