Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Since the 1980s, Conrad Ranger has devoted much of his time to visiting members of the Montréal chapter of the RCMP Veterans' Association who are ill or hospitalized. He helps with funeral arrangements for deceased members, comforts surviving family members, and assists them to contact the appropriate resources in the community to ease any financial difficulties. In addition, Mr. Ranger prepares and distributes Christmas baskets to families in need.
