Governor General's Caring Canadian Award

Over the decades, Catherine Gray has supported a variety of groups and organizations, including school boards, churches, hospital auxiliaries, Meals-on-Wheels, the Brownies, and cultural bodies. For forty years, she volunteered with the Brockville General Hospital Auxiliary, serving on the board, working at the information desk, visiting patients on a daily basis, and bringing them newspapers and other articles. Her lifetime of voluntarism has encouraged others to become involved with volunteer programs.
