Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Patricia Gillis plays an active role in the community as a volunteer for church, school, hospital, family, neighbourhood and township. Over the years, she has actively raised funds for youth recreation, restoration of the township hall, hospitals and charitable organizations. In addition, her time is spent volunteering in her parish, especially during the difficult times following funeral services, and at the school where she taught for many years.
