Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Margaret Butler is a dedicated volunteer, always ready to tackle a difficult task, always available with a helpful suggestion, a word of encouragement, or a smile. She has been involved with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra over four decades and is a founding member, former president and frequent chair of the annual fund-raising auction of the H.P.O. Guild. Her energy, efficiency and creativity have also contributed to the success of various community projects and events, such as reunions for the McMaster University Alumni Association.
