Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Every week, for more than ten years, Willie Blackburn has volunteered at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue's hospital for veterans. He tirelessly undertakes all the duties assigned to him, many of which are involved with palliative care. Mr. Blackburn's presence is a great comfort to patients and his dedication is an example to his fellow volunteers. He currently serves as a special advisor to the Board of Directors for the hospital's Volunteer Service.
