    Jesse Livingstone-King, Calgary, Alberta Governor General's Caring Canadian Award Jesse King was left brain injured by an accident at the age of three. When he turned eight, he became a tireless crusader for brain injury awareness and support in Calgary. Now twelve years old, he has helped raise thousands of dollars for the Southern Alberta Brain Injury Society. In addition, he gives presentations to children and adults on brain injury-related issues, speaks on safety and awareness at the Youth Group for the Brain Injured at the Alberta Children's Hospital, and continues to inspire everyone who meets him.
