Governor General's Caring Canadian Award
Known as the "Banff Artist," Ruth Secunda has been a founding volunteer member of many cultural organizations and activities, including Artventure, the First Night Festival and the Banff Arts and Cultural Alliance. A teacher of artistic workshops, a literacy tutor and board member of the Banff YWCA and library, she is often seen at Banff special events hosting craft workshops, making masks, painting T-shirts and participating in interactive art projects.
